Tough day...followed by Disneyland!

Yesterday was another hard day in terms of confiscations with 6 in total. Keri and Alana had their first confiscation and Kyle was the first team member to be stopped 2 times in one day. Cheryl also was stopped and experienced a harsher side of the officials when they just ordered her around and seemed very angry. She got only 2 books through and usually during a confiscation, we can manage to get at least 5. This can be discouraging because when we push ourselves to make as many crossings as we can, it's hard to understand why God doesn't turn the situation around for His glory. But we know He is always working out His plans and have noticed that sometimes, when one person gets stopped, it provides opportunity for one or two others to get through because the officials are busy. We have seen many miracles and thank God for them.

At present, we are delivering our books to a hotel where they are stored temporarily. The room is booked in Matthew's name so pray nothing goes wrong and the staff find no problems with our comings and goings.

The American team that arrived at the weekend are getting on well and have made a good number of crossings. However, it has been frustrating for us at times because our schedule is delayed with so many groups going across the border. We are finally at a point where we feel we could do 3 crossings a day but now, it just doesn't seem possible because all groups have to be staggered and timings don't allow for a third crossing. Again, pray that we would trust in God's plans and His timing, knowing that He can see the bigger picture.

Today, we had a much appreciated break and went to Disneyland Hong Kong! I think every one of us returned to our childhood and were carried away by how magical it was...not least of all Alana who loved every minute!! We had alot of laughs, seen a few shows and parades, and of course tried a few rides...some of us more than once as the boys went on Space Mountain rollercoaster 6 times!! Class day had by all.

As we look ahead to tomorrow, we see our trip coming to an end. We have just 2 more days of border crossings, and possibly a half day on Monday. We are all eager to do our best for God and know that He will give us the strength to cope with whatever lies ahead.

Hi gang,
Glad to hear you all had a fun day in Disney, we can just imagine Alana skipping about with Mickey mouse. Just a few days to go now and your time away will soon be over, we have been thinking does Matthew think he's James Bond every time he tries to cross the boarder putting all he has learnt from the movies into practice? Must go as this is the 12th day and we have to kick the pope around Megaberry. Look forward to he next instalment about the secret life in Hong Kong. Dont know what I'll do to kill time when you all come home this has been the highlight of my day over th past week or so, unless you fancy stayin on!!!!!

Hello team

Great to see all those happy faces. If you were at home it is drizzling this morning. You would have a day off and maybe go to see the bands. At the moment Maghabery is dead - I think the residents have moved out. What you are doing there is far greater and much more rewarding that an 12th. God will reward you.

We pray that your remaining days will be fruitful by way of deliveries and not too may hassles.

Take care and God Bless

Don't be discouraged - God knows the plan He has for you and will ensure that plan is achieved. Someone, can't just recall who, has said The stops ans well as the stops of a good man are ordered by The Lord. Keep the good work up Satan will use everything and anything to frustrate the work of extending God's Kingdom but in the end he will not succeed. Glad to hear about the good day in Disney. We have had a good 12th Hope ndrew got his flute into gear and led the march to the border. Remembering you in our prayers. Uel & Jennifer.

Hello all.

I just found out about this blogspot a few days ago - it's been good to read about all your experiences - very nerve racking even thinking about it! You're doing a great job. I just thought I'd leave a wee comment of encouragement. Someone spoke on this a few weeks ago at church and it was an encouragement to me. Thought I'd remind you of God's wonderful knowledge and love - we have no need to be afraid as He guides our paths, plans our ways and protects as we go in His Name.

Psalm 139 v 1-6.
O LORD, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O LORD, You know it altogether. You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it.

All the best for your last few days of crossings
. Thinking of you all and remembering you in prayer,
Naomi
