Day 3

I think we're all glad to be able to give a more positive report today. After looking at the faith of Noah in our team devotion this morning, we were feeling re-energised and ready to go - knowing that no matter what circumstances God would put us in today - we just needed to keep strong in our faith.

We had a total of 25 crossings and only 3 'delays'. Two of those were confiscations but the third showed us again how the eyes of people can be blinded in an instant if God wills. We are all still very nervous. Not least of all Andrew, who has been quite unfortunate! Today his passport was taken and he got sent to an interview room. We had not been briefed on this and so he did not have a clue what was going to happen. Thankfully, after a very long half hour, he was free to go without questionning. We are definately learning to pray more effectively!

In general, the team are feeling more upbeat today and are starting to gain more energy. We each made 2 crossings and a few of us who were feeling strong completed a third trip. Pray that we will continue to gain more energy and do all that is required of us. In the last blog we said we were getting across an average of 20 books per person per crossing. It is actually more than that. We can take anything from 30-60 in one crossing which is really great when we get lots of good runs through.

Thanks for your contined support and comments. They mean alot to us and are read out each morning and evening at our devotions.

Psalm 56 v 3 "When I am afraid, I will trust in you"

Praying for you continually. Your labour is NOT in vain for the Lord even in those times when you feel discouraged and tired.

Look after yourselves and take a break. Go shopping (I say that on behalf of my sister who I'm sure is dying to spend some money!) or just chill out and relax. The Lord doesn't expect you to kill yourselves trailing suitacases all over HK and China so take some time out to recharge the batteries.

Andrew- well done! You are doing a great job!

Here is a wee story for you all:
“Once upon a time a wise old man and a young boy were walking along the beach. The old man was imparting wisdom to the boy as they enjoyed the morning breeze. As they walked along, the tide began to go out. As it did so, it left hundreds of thousands of starfish stranded in the sand. The old man pointed to the starfish and said, “Boy, do you see those starfish? Everyday when the tide goes out, hundreds of starfish get stranded on the sand only to bake in the afternoon sun and die.”
Immediately the young boy ran down to the shore and began to pick up starfish and throw them out into the water. He continued to do this as the old man came down to meet him. When the old man finally got down to the water, the boy had just picked up another starfish. He was about to throw it out into the water when the old man cried out, “STOP! My foolish boy,” he said, “do you honestly think you can save all these starfish? There are too many!” The boy completed his throw and sent the starfish flying out over the water. After the little splash, the boy answered. “No, I can’t save them all, but I just made a difference in that one’s life.”

The same applies to your work - even one Bible can transform the life of a person. Just be faithful to HIM and He will bless you more than you could ever imagine.

Love to all, Keep safe

Hi all, keep up the good work. It's great to hear how well you are all doing. Andrew, it was bound to happen to someone but you can now share your experience and encourage the rest of the team. It is so good to see how the Lord is protecting you all as you do His work. Love to you all and especially to Keri. Don't worry I'm sure you will get the chance to send some money. You and Alana are well matched.
