Today was pretty successful - 17 out of 20 got through customs without being stopped, praise God. Some of us had to put our bags through the x-ray machine but somehow the guards didn't see what was inside. It definitely is a test of our faith when we put the bags on the conveyor belt and pray that God will get them through without the guards realising what is inside or else not caring enough to stop us.
It would be easy to become complacent and think we are doing this in our own strength but with a prayer time before each journey and constant prayer as we walk towards the guards we put our whole trust in God to get us through.
Andrew once again was stopped coming back into Hong Kong (on what we were told were very random routine stops!) to have his passport checked in more detail. Thankfully they did not question him this time and he did not have to wait for as long (approx. 15 mins) but it was enough to sap his energy. We had planned to do 3 runs today but felt that we did not have enough energy and feared that we may get held up again if we did. Perhaps another day!
We finished the day with team devotions focusing on Psalm 71 v 1-6
In you, O LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame.
Rescue me and deliver me in your righteousness; turn your ear to me and save me.
Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me,
for you are my rock and my fortress.
Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of evil and cruel men.
For you have been my hope, O Sovereign LORD, my confidence since my youth.
From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother's womb.
I will ever praise you.
Thank you for the comments you have left on the blog - they are a source of constant encouragement to us all when we meet together! It is so reassuring to know that you are lifting us up to God throughout our trip.
Thanks
HK Team

Hi all,
well done again another good days work complete and some more chinese christians will soon have a book of their own. We do not realise here at home just how lucky we really are as we can worship and praise God in freedom. So be encouraged as each book is taken in to China it will make a real difference to the person who receives it. Alana & Keri, I know you are both probably worrying about being stopped but remember everyone else has been and many on more than one occasion and they have come through with no worries.
Either they are blinded by your sheer beauty or it just isnt your time yet. But remember no matter what the Lord will always be with you and we are all praying for you.
All the best for your final week and no mater how many books get through every one will be precious to those who receive them.
Heyya...
Yet another week to go, but byt the time next sunday comes, you will want to do it all again!
This will be one experience that you will never forget, and will be able to pass your thought and memories to many others planning on doing missionary work!
Just think, if every bible you take through and one person got saved due to that bible, that would be over... alot of people saved... all thanks to your and your patience and willing to let your faith guide you so that others will be able to see what a wonderful life a Christain leads!
Alana& Keri, I must say all those make over I give you's must have worked a treat, you must be so pleased about not getting stopped. but even if that time does come, God will put a helping hand on you and will help you think of the correct words and actions.
During your time there I dont think I have prayed as much about one thing as much as I have prayed for you lot!
Everyone is still praying strong for you!

Hello All,
Another good days work done. Was there really any need for the worries? but then thats natural when you are doing a very difficult job - we tend to forget that God really does look after those who obey and trust Him. Say Andrew, it must be the cool look that gets you caught or maybe you have a secret admirer. Anyway keep going Andrew it may just be that they are trying to get you annoyed so you might give up but don't! A good report was given in Church on Sunday pm and we are sure people are praying much for the team although maybe not always expressing their interest outwardly.
Don't think too much about that NI dinner when you come home but from your experiences you will know that although food at home is not always the best yet there are others who enjoy a great deal less.
It's now nearly time for you to get up so must finish. Remember-
celebrate successes, accept disappointments, trust God and move on.

Hello HK Team
I just wanted to say that you are all fantastic and doing such a brilliant job. What my dad wrote was very true (for once!), there are people at home who would not even contemplate getting out of their comfort zone to do what you are doing and I really admire each of you for all the effort you are putting in despite that fact that the food is wick and the heat is blistering. We pray for you continually and it will be great to have you all back again and to hear all the stories!
Wee sis - keep the chin up. You are SO brave going back again after having been stopped. I don't think I could have done it.We will hit the sales together when you get back and go to Mauds for a crepe!
Andrew, what is it about you?! You are doing so well and being so faithful to keep going back after all that has happened to you. I know your mum is missing both you and David. She'll be glad to have you both home safe and sound.
Adam, your mum is really missing you!! She says she will make you a lovely lamb dinner when you get back.
Matthew, Juliet misses you!(did you even think she would say that?!) You must be some big bro!
Keri, I was chatting with your granny and your dad on Sunday- they will be so glad to have you home again!Your granny says she'll make you a nice sunday dinner!
Louise and Cheryl-you are definitely missed by your parents! We were all standing chatting on Sunday and I think its pretty quiet there without you.
EJ- can you get back asap so we can resume our weekly Karen Kingsbury bulletins! Robert is sick of listening to me going on about the Baxter family!
David Nesbitt-just to let you know 38 boys are now booked in for week 4!You guys are going to have a time of it.Hope you're enjoying yourself!
Kyle-keep up the good work. You're doing a brill job.
Be safe and keep enjoying yourselves in spite of the hard times. This really is a once in a lifetime opportunity. And remember the starfish! - YOU can make a difference. Just have another wee thing for you today:-
Where there are no storms, there is no danger.
Where there is no danger, there is no fear.
Where there is no fear, there is no testing.
Where there is no testing, there is no learning.
Where there is no learning, there is no growing.
Where there is no growing, there is no faith.
Where there are no storms, there is no faith.
No storms, no faith.
Few storms, a little faith.
Many storms, much faith.
Love to all,
Im Him, Mel and Rob xo
